HELL HEAVEN
There is grief There is love
Everywhere around Where they find peace
Pain in every soul Every soul makes you happy
None have come here Not to expect anything
By their choice, They live merrily and prosper
Repent must they In hope to be and do better
To set free Must they be kind
EARTH
Hell ,Earth , Heaven
About This Poem
This is my first contrapuntal poem there is a hell side, a heaven side and when read together it shows the reality of our Earth. This was my attempt to expand my creativity and pour it into poetry inspired by a creator on Instagram.

Poem Analysis
This analysis is provided as optional literary feedback. Community voting remains the primary ranking method.
The poem juxtaposes the concepts of Hell, Heaven, and Earth, exploring themes of suffering, redemption, and joy. While it presents an intriguing contrast between realms, the poem's artistic merit is somewhat diminished by its simplistic language and structure.
Strengths
- The poem effectively uses juxtaposition to highlight the differences between Hell and Heaven, as seen in 'There is grief' versus 'There is love'.
- The poem's structure, with its clear division into three sections, helps to convey the distinct characteristics of each realm.
- The line 'In hope to be and do better' suggests a redemptive theme, adding depth to the portrayal of Heaven.
Areas for Improvement
- The poem's language is overly simplistic, as seen in lines like 'Pain in every soul', which lacks vivid imagery.
- The section labeled 'EARTH' is notably absent of content, which leaves the poem feeling incomplete and unbalanced.
Imagery
The poem lacks strong visual language and sensory details, relying on abstract concepts such as 'grief' and 'love' without grounding them in concrete imagery. This absence of metaphor and simile limits the poem's ability to evoke vivid pictures in the reader's mind.
Structure
The poem is structured into two main sections, 'HELL' and 'HEAVEN', with an unexplored 'EARTH' section. The line breaks and alignment suggest a mirrored structure, but the lack of content in the 'EARTH' section disrupts this symmetry. There is no consistent meter or rhyme scheme, which gives the poem a free verse quality.
Language & Craft
The diction is straightforward and lacks complexity, which makes the poem accessible but also limits its depth. The tone is didactic, aiming to convey a moral lesson. There is minimal use of alliteration or assonance, which could have added musicality to the lines.
Emotional Impact
The poem's emotional impact is limited by its abstract language and lack of detailed imagery. While the themes of redemption and joy in Heaven have potential for emotional resonance, the execution is too simplistic to deeply move the reader.
