Today we celebrate the fathers who raised us,
The men who held our hands when we were small,
Who stayed up through the long nights,
Who caught us when we stumbled,
And who stood beside us through it all.
Some fathers taught us how to ride a bike,
How to throw a ball,
How to be strong when life gets hard,
And how to rise again after we fall.
Their love became a steady light,
Guiding us through the years.
Yet even the greatest father on earth
Cannot compare to the love of our Heavenly Father.
Before we took our first breath,
God knew our names.
Before our first step,
He had already planned our path.
When we felt forgotten,
He remembered us.
When we felt broken,
He never left our side.
And when the world was lost in sin,
God showed the depth of a Father's love.
He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ,
Not because we earned it,
But because He loved us beyond measure.
Jesus walked among the hurting,
The lonely, the rejected, and the weak.
He carried our burdens,
He bore our pain,
And stretched out His arms on the cross
So that we could know the Father's love forever.
Today is joyful for many,
But for some it is difficult.
Some miss their fathers.
Some never knew a father's love.
Some carry wounds that still ache.
Yet no matter our story,
We have a Father in Heaven
Whose love never fails,
Whose arms are always open,
And whose presence never leaves us.
So this Father's Day,
Let us thank the fathers who have loved us well,
But let us also lift our hearts to God,
The Father of all creation,
And to Jesus Christ,
Who showed us what perfect love looks like.
For earthly fathers guide us for a season,
But our Heavenly Father loves us for eternity.
And that love will never fade,
Never fail,
And never let us go.
